Funding is available for State Wide Field Days, Conferences and other activities that have grazing or forages as the main or one of the key topics. Funding can be used to help offset any expenses to put the conference or state wide events together. The only items that the funding cannot be used for are food items. The level that has been established for these activities is up to $500.

Funding is available for field days, purchase of publications, training sessions and other activities concerning grazing, forage management and utilization. When 2 or more counties get together to promote grass based farming, funding can be received at a higher level than a single county event. Funding is available to help offset any expenses to put the event together. The only items that the funding cannot be used for are food items. Funding can start at $200 and will not exceed $500. Each request will be independently evaluated and the funding level for each event will be set by the Coalition.

The mini-grant program is designed to provide a source of funds to carry out an educational project on grazing and special emphasis topics. Field days, seminars, tours, grazer meetings, pamphlets, booklets, videos, compact disks (CD's), audio tapes, or other items as approved on an individual basis. Topics to be included as part of the agenda or focus are: feed management, alternative energy for grazing systems, alternative fuel sources, and equine pasture management. Each project that is approved by the Coalition will be funded for the amount requested up to a maximum of $200.00 per project per year.
